Macro to generate bookmarks for reports (MS Word 2003)
Hi there,

I write many reports which require a set structure where there are recommendations and conclusions embedded in a paragraph. I then need to summarise the recommendations and conclusions at the end of the report which I hope to achieve by cross referencing the "recommendation bookmark' (unless anyone else has a better idea).

So .... I would like assistance in generating a macro which will create a recommendation bookmark "RECXXX", where XXX is automatically toggled every time I run (hit the assigned macro button) the macro (ie from 001 to 010 if I run the macro 10 times).

eg:

para 1. soishgiohsg sgsg. sihtosiht asoihtsoh. conclusion blah blah. recommended blah blah.

I would like to bookmark (or other) 'recommended blah blah' as REC001.

para x. soishgiohsg sgsg. sihtosiht asoihtsoh. conclusion blah blah. recommended blah blah.

I would like to bookmark (or other) 'recommended blah blah' as REC00X.

Note - a recommendation is not necessarily in each para.

I have tried another forum but unfortunately not had a solution. They suggested a {SEQ Rec \# "'Recommendation: '0 "} solution but unfortunately i dont have the level of macro karma to complete the solution.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
