    See the title.

What's the easiest way to do a clean reset to default codecs. I want to start fresh to see if I can fix this bloody thumbnail problems (i.e. thumbnail previews crash explorer)

Also anyone got good codec pack suggestions?

    Cheers in advance

That thread just tells you how to disable video thumbnails which I've already done and it's outdated and about XP.

That brings up another topic, does anyone know how to enable image thumbnails (without enabling video thumbnails), I forgot how I disabled them.
