I'm having some very strange problems with my display resolution. It's worked fine in the past, but over the last few days I've been getting different resolutions in some apps. I didn't change any settings or anything, it just spontaneously came up with this fun little annoyance.

Windows Explorer has fine resolution, as does Firefox. The weirdness starts when dialog boxes or other "gray box" windows open. Here's a screen shot that shows what I mean: (screenie also shows my embarrassing graphics card specs)

I've tried updating drivers and BIOS, but I get the NVIDIA "Nothing on your computer is compatible with life" message so familiar to Vista users.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Sorry to bump, but this resolution thing is really annoying. No one has any ideas?
