[Resolved] award bios - can't change boot sequence to cdrom

    hello!! i'm a newby, in need of some serious help!! i just bought a new KT333 dragon motherboard, with an athlon 2100 processor, all new everything really. i'm trying to get in to format my hard drives, and when i'm in the bios, it only shows "floppy" as my choice, and i can't get it to change the boot sequence so i can boot from the cdrom (my windows xp disk). please help! i'm tired of calling and being on hold for 30+ minutes with soyo company!! thank you in advance for any help or ideas!!

    Hi friend, try this, click on first boot sequence, use your arrow keys or page up, page down keys, this should change the boot-up settings.

    thank you...i will check that. i think my friend tried that when we were working on it last night, but i'll try again...

    I just downloaded what I think is your manual. If you don't have one you can get it here:

    On page 93 you will see instructions for the boot menu.

    They direct you to press 'esc' immediately after memory initialization to access the boot menu where you will see an option menu with the different devices selectable for a first boot device.

    i think this may be just what i need!! i'm doing my research from work...so, i won't get to try any of this until i get home...but, if i get it going (which i hope), i'll get on line and let you know.
