when i attempt to start my computer it takes me to the startup mode selection screen. from there any selection starts to load windows XP but then comes to a hault and gives me the message that the proccess has been stopped due to...

    UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

after this it says that i can attempt to start in safe mode and change some settings but safe mode gives me the exact same message. I have removed any "newish" hardware and the problem still is there. If anyone has any ideas or knows how to fix this PLEASE let me know. Thank you much.
