Hi, and welcome to the board.

What version of Internet Explorer are you running, please?

Pammi, is that IE 5.5 with Service Pack 2?

Please go to IE > Help > About IE, and tell us what the Version number is.

Also, what version of Windows are you running?

Pammi, I think you should start by upgrading to <A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/recommended/ie55sp2/default.asp?%20FinishURL=%2Fdownloads%2Frelease%2Easp%3Freleaseid<br%20/>%20%3D31770%26area%3Dtop%26ordinal%3D5%26redirect%3Dn<br%20/>o">Internet Explorer 5.5 SP 2 </A>

SP 2 contains many improvements, bug fixes and security patches.
It will also update an awful lot of files.

PLease do that, and test again.

IIRC this is the one caused by a bad BHO, so....In IE go to Tools>Internet Option>Advanced (tab)>UNcheck option "Enable
    3rd party browser extensions" .
Now close and re-start IE. If all work OK now get and use the
    following:

Bho Cop ( must register w/ PC mag 1st time)

You should also try jwbirdsong's suggestions.

In many cases a IE plugin has been reported to cause these problems.

If updating Iepeers.dll by upgrading Internet Explorer didn't do the trick, it's the likely cause.

    Pammi,

You're still not telling us whether you've disabled "third party browser extensions", like jwbirdsong advised you to do.

    It often helps.

OK, it may be an Internet Explorer 6.0 thing.

    Please do this:

Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php#startup , and download 'Startuplist'.

Unzip, doubleclick it, and it will generate a text file that will list all running processes, all applications that are loaded automatically when you start Windows, and more.

Go to Edit > select all, copy it and post the contents here.
