already posted one thread. but maybe didn't have enough information. I can't launch HijackThis because it says that HijackThis has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. It says that everytime I try to launch it. When I ran the PCBugDoctor it said that I had Invalid CLSID, which doesn't surprise me because when I ran Ad-Aware SE it got stuck on an HKEY file that contained CLSID. I can't run things on my laptop and all sorts of new files that I don't recognize are on there (specifically Windows XP Hotfix (SP2)) They're in my add-remove programs menu. Im just trying to fix the damn thing before I get any more frustrated!
Thanks so much.
PS. If anyone can just give me a bit of advice or maybe what it might be that, I've run out of ideas......

Make a folder on your hard drive, like My Documents\HJT
Download Hijackthis.
Unzip the file to the folder on your hard drive.

Double click on Hijackthis.exe then click on the "Scan" button, then click on "Save Log".

Copy and paste it back here and someone will be happy to review it.

Don't make any changes until instructed to do so.
