I've just purchased Money 2002 Standard and am trying to load it into my comp. I have W98 and a pretty new comp. and have had no problems. When I put the CD in the "D" drive (which is my CD) nothing happens. If I go to start, settings, and put in D:\setup a message comes back saying "D:\ is not accessible. The device is not ready." Anything else I put in the drive works. I put the CD in my old comp w/W95 and it loaded fine. So what am I missing?

Hi – welcome to the board.

Try Start>Run and type d: and enter.

If you get the contents look for SETUP.EXE. You might have to open some of the folders to find it. With Money 2000 it is not in a folder.

I had a question concerning not being able to get new Money 2002 to be recognized by my CDRom. I tried your answer but no help. Turns out it was a bad CD. Went back to Comp USA and got a replacement and away it went. Why this would load in my old Comp W/W95 and not this newer one w/W98 I'll never know but appreciate the response and will keep this site in mind. BackBd
