Interesting one for you!!
I am trying to access a website, I log into the website and it recognises me, but when I try to navigate this site it tells me I have to log in, but I just did. Nothing I try works.
It works fine when I use another computer, its just mine. I have tried getting access using I.E in XP and in 2000, as well as Opera.
I contacted the site in question and explained my problem, they said it as probably a problem with my cookie settings (these are used to maintain the log in on this site). So I fiddled about with them, including selecting "prompt for first time and 3rd party cookies"
But it doesn’t prompt me, it does on any other site, just not this one. But it works from other computers.
It has got me stumped, can anybody help please
The site is, http://ask.adams.com

Hi piratetigger

You could try deleting the cookie for that site (maybe it has become corrupt)

Right I am having the same problem again but this time deleting the cookie isn’t working. Still leaves me with the same problem. I can log into the site from other computer but not from mine. I am not even receiving any cookies this time.
Any ideas?

Looks like your computer is not accepting cookies then ?

In ie 6.0 go to Tools\internet options\privacy and pull the slider down to the bottom - see what happens

You could try an ie repair

Go to start\settings\control panel

click add\remove programs

scroll down to "Microsoft internet explorer" and click add\remove

You will be given 3 options

choose "repair internet explorer" and click ok
