    was having some graphic problems so ran dxdiag, hit test direct draw, and that box is movin a bazillion miles an hour then locks up, tried reloading graphic driver, same
    win xp pro
    amd 850
    256
    gf4 mx440/omega 4523 driver

    Hi,

    I have a very similar card to you and just ran the tests - when you say 'the box' ... do you mean the cube with the green x on it that spins in the direct3d test ?

    If so then perhaps go into the Dxdiag again > display > and reduce hardware acceleration.

    Its a lot less aggravation than uninstalling those graphic drivers and reverting to a previous set.

    See if that helps at all.

    seems that directx and the omega 4523 graphics driver had a battle and the driver won, and poor directx was all beat up.
    kicked out the driver, nursed directx back to health and d/led the 4351 driver and all is fine.
