{RESOLVED}display adapter

    computer switched to a standard PCI graphics adapter {VGA} with only 16 color and 640 pixels. not giving me any other options for colors or pixs. used to 256 and 24 bit colors. do not know how to retrieve them believe it happened when windows upgraded to windows 98 second edition. tried using microsoft update and followed instructions but nothing has worked. please help

    do you know what graphics adapter should be ?
    do you have drivers disc?
    if so got to device manager select display adapters
    then click on reinstall driver or update drivers then select
    correct driver from the drivers disc

    thanks so much guys. you really were alot of help. ran driver disk and followed instructions and now have previous driver back with all colors and pics.i was too worried about running disk and making things worse before talking to you, so thanks again
