(RESOLVED)FPS - how do I ----> ?

I have a 1.5G P4 with a Nvidia Geforce2MX card.
I running Me as OS.
I trying to see what the FPS is, and adjust if possible.

I Play online Multi-player games and My ping is real good.
My skills are improving. Someone mentioned to check my FPS.
The setting in the game is GLopen 1024 X 780.

Not a counter strike player but try this

enable the console by typing -console in the shortcut.
example:

c:\games\half-life\hl.exe -game cstrike -console

I play counterstrike as well, and "cl_showfps 1" also works.
