[Resolved] internet explorer start page

whenever I start up internet explorer browser from the icon in the tray it opens up with a porno page, this does not happen when i log on and the browser starts only when i start the browser in the middle of a session. How do I get rid of this porno page and keep it from coming back?

Do as LadyLisa said. Then go to tools>internet options>general tab and set your home page to what you want. Then go to the connections tab and see if that porno is listed there.

Hi,

What you should do first, is close Internet Explorer and Outlook Express.
Now go to Control Panel/Internet, and empty your Temporary Internet cache.
Click on settings/show files, and delete all cookies (maybe first save the really important ones...)

Then go to Internet Options/programs and click 'Reset Web Settings'

Now go to your preferred home page, go to Internet options, and click 'use current'.

And run Ad-Aware, as LadyLisa and DoyceJ already advised you to do.

Hiya

Also, as an added bit just to be safe in the future, open up you Internet Options and go to the Advanced tab and under the Browsing bit, look for Enable Install On Demand. Uncheck this.

Thanks to you all, I really appreciate the help, no more porn. The Adware program did not work but found a lot of junk that I got rid of, the offending page was taken out by changing the home page as you suggested, just did not know how. I used all the suggestions and am much happier now, thanks again, great work.
