I was trying to allow cookies on IE and got a message that said this computer has restrictions. I went to spybot search and destroy and unchecked the "lock start page" and "lock control panel". Then I tried again, and it still says restrictions, contact system administrator.

Should I try hijackthis and see if there might be something causing this? Or should I just reboot my computer?

I removed the things. Then I went into IE. It still says there are restrictions. Maybe I have a virus or something? Are there any other programs I can get like Hijackthis to check for stuff that might be causing this?

Thanks.

That should have fixed it. Also make sure you do not have the Lock IE Start and Control Panel options checked in Spybot > Immunize.

It didn't so I am running an Ad-Aware scan. I tried last night but it locked up so I'm rescanning. And I had had the options checked, but I unchecked them yesterday. I removed those things from the hijackthis log, too. But it still says restrictions. I'm hoping this adaware scan will find something then I'm doing a reboot.
