{RESOLVED}mother board

my brother installed a new mother board and when you turn on the computer it cuts off...it will not allow you to load on the programs

Also check that the heatsink/fan is connected and plugged in on the processor. Generally the processor fan has a power cable running from the fan to the cpu fan header on the board.
Without it the motherboard may think it's over heating and shutdown.

IS THERE ANY WAY TO ASSIST THE FAN IN COOLING OFF THE PROCESSOR...IT IS GEETIN HOT AND THE FAN DOES NOT SEEM TO BE EFFICIENT.

Remove the heatsink/fan combo. clean it off, apply thermal grease, and then reseat the unit making sure it makes good contact with the cpu core.
