Hiya

I don't sleep that much and I'm here most of the time. How sad. Must get a life soon as I have seen some floating around somewhere:p

Anyway, lets have a look here. Well, your card says it supports OpenGL, but its not detecting it. I have found this. GLSetup.

GLSetup detects your 3D graphics card and installs the matching OpenGL drivers. Games supporting OpenGL will include GLSetup to ensure your system has drivers available to accelerate OpenGL 3D rendering

GLSetup currently includes drivers for the following chipsets:

3Dfx
Voodoo, Voodoo2, Voodoo Rush, Banshee, Voodoo3, Voodoo3 3500TV, Voodoo4, and Voodoo5
3Dlabs
Permedia 2 and Permedia 3
ATI
Rage 128, Rage 128 Pro, Rage Fury MAXX, Rage Pro, Radeon
Intel
i740, i810, and i815
Matrox
G200, G400, and G450
NVidia
Riva 128/128ZX and Riva TNT/TNT2/GeForce1&2/MX/Quadro1&2
PowerVR
KYRO
Rendition
Verite 2200
S3
Savage3D, Savage4, and Savage2000
As you can see, your's is in there. Geforce MX.

You did say yours was NVidiaGEForce2mx\mx 400mx, so I'm assuming that its got to be one of these. Can you confirm which it is.
ControlPanel | System. Device Manager. Under Display will be the card.

Once I can doublecheck that yours is the MX, we may be able to go further.

If your drivers are installed correctly on your card don't run glsetup. Just install the game and it should work fine. If anything, glsetup is going to have a version of drivers older than what your using.

Thanks brian for popping in

I just found that in one of the many game forums, and as I wasn't too sure, I didn't post the link.

Thanks

Hiya

Its addictive, this place. You'll be like the rest of us soon.

Have you tried what brian said about just installing the game and seeing if it will run? If not, we can always uninstall and try something else.

You didn't say you had the game already installed.
You will need to completely uninstall the game using add remove programs in control panel then reinstall it. Hope it works

Wierd, you certainly don't want to use the drivers on the installation cd. download and install new ones from www.nvidia.com

go to start/settings/control panel/display/settings tab/advanced button/nvidia tab/advanced button/opengl tab.

Check the following

enable bugger region estension is checked
Allow the dual planes estensions checked
Default color depth for textures Use desktop color depth
Buffer flipping mode Auto Select
vertical sync on by default

If you just recently downloaded new drivers from nvidia I wouldn't bother.

Strange that it can't find the opengl

If you go back there, on the nvidia tab, what are the last four numbers of the drivers listed Currently I am running 23.11's but mine are leaked beta's, your should be 21.83 I think
