    Hi,
I'm running Win98SE and when I try to shut down the computer most of the time it hangs on the blue screen and I have to reboot. I think there is a fix for this but I don't remember where. If someone would enlighten me I would apprediate it.

    Thanks

also you might should check to see if any of the items you have in startup can be eliminated so that when you startup & shutdown you don't bottleneck all the programs together at the same time.
Go to start/run type in msconfig & go to startup & take the checks from any items you know does not have to be in the startup menu.

this will also save you resources

also try holding the shift key down while shutting down
    use this to help you
