[Resolved] SWEN worm detected... Now what

    Now that I have the "SWEN" worm... what do I do? YES, I know... all common sense was lost for a brief second as I opened that damn e-mail!:confused: I did the HouseCall scan... do I click delete while the detected worm file is highlighted? Thanks!

    Which windows?? And yes if housecall is asking you select yes. Be sure to let us know which windows.

    Okay, I tried to delete the file, but got a message that said it was unable to clean the file because it was currently in use.

    You will need to disable system restore as well,,,,,,,give me a few minutes and I will get you a link,,,,,,,also shortly this thread will probably be moved to the security forum so if you dont see it,,,,go there and look.

    press ctrl+alt+del and end task on that one,,,,do it as many times as it takes then you should be able to get rid of it with housecall. Or the other methods,,,,,,but thats the one.
