I'm back again with another problem:cool:

System Restore has worked fine for me (xp pro) until yesterday.
I tried to restore to the day before and it went through the motions (blue line showing restoration, etc.) but after it rebooted the restore screen came up and said it was unable to restore my computer.

So I went back 2 days and tried it - same result. Back 3 days same result.

The error msg gave no explanation other than it could not restore my computer.

I don't use restore that much but it makes me kinda nervous knowing it doesn't work.

    Thanks for your help.

Well, I dunno, never happened to me. But I'd go to the System Restore settings and disable system restore. I believe that will delete the old, possibly corrupt, restore points. Reboot. Then go back into System Restore, change the Settings to enable monitoring, and create a new restore point. See if the new one works.

I have XP Home and I have noticed if I work in the registry the computer won't restore. This has happened to me a few times. It does with a new restore point. Just thought I would throw that in. :D
