Norton just told me I have atrojan but that it could not delete it. It is called abc.bat and has this address. c:\ys\abc.bat Any ideas on how to get rid of it? I tried deleting it.. no luck.

What else is in the ys folder? Does abc.bat show up in the Task Manager when you do a ctrl-alt-del? You can end task it first if it does.

And have you tried running Norton in Safe Mode and asking it to delete it?

thanks... I was able to delete in SAFE Mode. It was in a folder called C:\ys, and the executable file was MIRC, which my son said was a chat program he had installed.. So I uninstalled it. Hoepfully that does it.
