I presume you are talking about the shortcut to scandisk in your start menu under programs/accessories/system.
First, use the "find" function on the start menu, and search for scandskw.exe on local hard drive C:
This should locate the file in the folder C:\windows.
Right click on the icon once found, and choose create shortcut. This will tell you that you cannot create a shortcut here, do you wish the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead. Choose yes.
There will now be a shortcut to scandisk on your desktop.
Now on your startmenu, click "settings", then "taskbar and startmenu", then the "startmenu programs" tab.
Click the Advanced button, double click on the "programs" folder,
double click on "accessories", double click on "system tools", then drag and drop the icon from your desktop into that open folder.
And that should do what you want.:)
