I was wondering how to reset the default settings for the startup menu on windows 98 without the cd rom disc

Also when I start my comuter that tells me that I have a missing driver. How do I located the driver if it says that it is uninstalled without the cd rom disc

    Hi Hweishaar,

Welcome. To reset your startup goto Start (bottom left corner) - RUN - type in MSCONFIG - select Normal Startup.

This may, however, cause your system to take longer to boot up and you will have far more running in the background. The only boxes that really need to be checked in Startup are Scanregistry, Systemtray and any AV or Firewall that you have.

With regard to the driver you would need to be a bit more specific.
