It just goes to black screen and all what I can do is press reset-button.

    Hiya

lets see what you have running.

Go to Run and type MSINFO32
On the left choose Software Enviroment, then Startup Programs. Copy/paste the list here.

Also, how much space do you have on your hardDrive? To have a look, open My Computer, and click on the C Drive.

    Regards

    Thats okay

    UltimateZip Quick Start: not sure

    ScanRegistry: keep

TaskMonitor: The Task Monitor checks the disk-access patterns of programs when they are started and stores this information in log files in the Applog folder. Task Monitor also records the number of times you use a program. The Disk Defragmenter tool uses this information to optimize your hard disk so that programs that you use frequently are loaded faster. Not required - but can be useful. Note: for Norton Anti-Virus 2002 users, loading TaskMonitor will typically solve many, if not most, of those annoying IE scripting errors (per Symantec's Knowledgebase)

    SystemTray: keep

    LoadPowerProfile: keep

Adaptec DirectCD: DirectCD allows you (amongst other things) to drag and drop files onto a suitably formatted CD-RW disc. Unless you use this on a frequent basis it isn't required and is available via Start -> Programs. Start the program before inserting a DirectCD formatted CD-RW in the drive. A re-boot is recommended if you close Adaptec DirectCD before re-opening it again later

Microsoft IntelliType Pro: Additional keyboard shortcuts on MS programmable keyboard. Not required - unless you use them

POINTER: Microsoft Intellipoint software for their Intellimouse series of mice. Only needed to enable any of the advanced features as Win98/Me supports the basic features by default

    ASUS Probe: not sure

NvCplDaemon: This loads the System Tray icon used to change display settings, change the clock rate and memory speed for nVidia based graphics cards. This is unnecessary since you can easily configure these settings the way you want them in the Display Properties and not have to mess with them again

nwiz: Associated with the newer versions of nVidia graphics cards drivers. Allows you to immensely improve desktop layouts by setting preferences and optimizations. However, this isn't necessary for the operation of your system

NAV Agent: Introduced with Norton Anti-Virus 2002 to replace Norton Auto-Protect and Norton eMail Protect. With the amount of E-mail borne viruses and those around the web you need it if you're connected. Leaving "Auto-Protect", "E-mail Scanning" and "Script Blocking" enabled doesn't seem to slow the system down.

iamapp: AtGuard personal firewall engine. Required if you're regualrly connected to the internet and this is your firewall. As Atguard was bought by Symantec some time ago, it's now the Norton Personal Firewall executive as well

CreateCD50: Adaptec Easy CD Creator version 5 system tray application. Available via Start -> Programs - not required

SchedulingAgent: Microsoft Scheduling Agent displayed as a box with a stopwatch in the System Tray that is only needed if you have regular scheduled disk defragmenting, ScanDisk, etc. I'd recommend you run these at regular intervals manually as they can interrupt other programs

ScriptBlocking: Update to Norton AntiVirus 2001. Detects certain types of script-based viruses without the need for specific virus definitions - such as JavaScript and VBScript. This will help protect you from these viruses even before virus definitions are available.

nisserv: From Norton Internet Security 2002. Required if you use this for your personal firewall

Go to Run and type MSCONFIG, startup tab. Uncheck the ones you don't want, apply and restart.

Now, as to the other bit. Is it saying you don't have enough space for the game, or just the patch?

The patch just says that I don't have enough free space on target drive.

There is a way, but my original link has died :(
Just getting feedback from the person I helped with it.

This could be caused by your swap file. Go to your control panel, click on system, click on your advanced tab. Click on the settings button in your performance box. At the bottom of that page is your virtual memory usage.

    Whats this set to?
