Recently I posted a request for info to eliminate an executable called urpo.exe. Got some good help and was able to remove it but... since running all the spyware programs to eliminate that problem I am once again getting popups appearing both with IE and Netscape. Prior to that I was having virtually none. Any idea how I can get back to the previous state (regarding popups that is, not urpo) and block all these annoying pieces of crap. AOL and University of Phoenix seem to be big ones but there are others as well. Thanks for any help.

Hi, You will need to post a Hijackthis log for review.

It's a small basic utility that is used to spot what may be causing the problems...

MAKE A NEW FOLDER, on the desktop> Right click and empty spot there, select New>Folder> rename the folder to HJT, download hijackthis.exe to that HJT folder, and run it from there.

    Download it here:

    http://tools.radiosplace.com/HijackThis.exe

Start hijackthis.exe> when it finishes scanning, the scan button will change to a Save Log button> save the file as hijackthis.txt, it will open with Notepad. Get back here, click on Post a Reply under the last post, and copy and paste the entire Hijack log into the blank reply.

    Directions and info here:
