Hi, wonder if anyone can help?..I am trying to connect a digital security camera to an old TV this is the set up...
Camera: standard scart connector (with mono sound).
Tv: standard RF (antenna) only. Hitachi NP84CQ board.
Question is would it be possible to remove the RF Modulator from an old VCR and use this to facilitate the connection? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
with thanks.

Hi magicsmoke, and welcome to TSG.

Have you considered a stand alone RF modulator unit. Your mentioning a SCART connector makes me think you are not in the USA. A small modulator can be purchased at many US retailers for under $25. You may be able to find a similar unit with SCART inputs or some type of SCART to RCA plugs adapter. It may even be possible to adapt some type of modulator from an old video game console

Trying to use a modulator out of an old VCR may prove to cost more than a stand alone unit if you consider you still need to add a power supply of some type, input connectors, and an enclosure.
