I am running RH 8.0 and I just downloaded pftp 1.1.6 (www.pftp.de). I extracted all the files and there isn't too much in the dir.

When I run ./configure I get "no such file or directory"

    and

when I run "make" I get "No gcc compiler"

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    Maybe a bad download?
I'd run a "whereis" for gcc, though it's usually in /usr/bin and should be there.Maybe you didnt install the development packages?
You can get it from http://gcc.gnu.org/ or from your RH CDs.
