Ringing sound from printer/photo copier

There is a ringing sound coming from one of the printer/photo copiers in work. Its not like the sound of a moving part that needs oiled. To me it sounds like a charge building up. When you print anything the sound stops for a while, then gradually builds up again. Its almost like when I turn my PC off but the power to my speakers is still switched on.

Probably a power supply that has become noisy (high frequency switchmode supply with loose transformer laminations), these are very specialised devices, and such a fault (should that be the case) is not a DIY job, you need the service agent.
