Ripping .mp3/.wav from mpeg

does anyone know of a good program to rip sound only from mpeg video files. i want the sound only so that i can make music cds.

OK, i think i got it. I went to mpegx.com like you recommended and downloaded "OSS Audio Extractor" . The audio rips aren't perfect, but they're close enough. thanks

You might want to look at this page

You can extract to wav with Virtualdub and then convert to mp3 or other format with dbPoweramp
available here
