    new to the forum....

searched the web a while no real clues todate

can / has anyone here know of a fix ???

what has happened and what i have done todate :)

tried to load w2k pro with tnt 2 card in no joy passed install s/w saying setup is installing windows 2000 (or something like that).

pulled card out installed via onboard video card (install a snap).

thought i´d try again to get tnt 2 card to work now w2k was installed.
put card into pci slot #3 auto detect found it upon startup all is fine.

    checked driver (default MS driver).

restarted pc, turned onboard video option off, pc starts again starts good.

Goes no further than the windows 2000 screen with @ 18 blue dashes that go across a wee bar. system just sits there.

    turn pc off and on.

on initial start bar (B&W) i press F8 select safe mode with network (not that i have a network connected) stops at same place.

again turn off / on pc and change the onboard video card to active.

pc starts win2k starts fine look the net for newer drivers.

got 2 drivers ( called something like ) 66.3 and the other 44.3 (these are the directory names created under Nvidia).

loaded each on in turn same problem as outlined above for both.

from research the card is supported but cannot get the bl**d thing to go.

also tried the card in slots 1 & 2 same results no go with tnt 2 goes with onboard card.

the motherboard does have a vesa slot at the bottom and was wondering _IF_ this could be a cause for the problems ????

newish to win2k the card worked fine in win98 and it barffed on the upgrade too from win98 -> w2k

    :( :(

    any help would be great.
