Hello colleagues,

It was so embarrassing to me when I was installing xp sp3 and an error message E:\ROOT\1386\asms parameter is incorrect appeared on my screen and was stuck. I wish someone could help me out, because I am now frustrated.

Otherwise nothing as big as that.
Waiting for your help.

Thanks.

Hi, it usually means a faulty Cd or a hard drive problem.
What is the make and model number of the Pc - there may be an inbuilt hard drive diagnostic utility?
