I'm connected to a VPN with an IP Address of 172.16.1.220

I want to add a route that connects to 192.168.1.19

To do this I have to put in route add 192.168.1.19 172.16.1.220
then it works, but if I disconnect fromt he VPN and connect again, my IP address might be 172.16.1.222 Then I have to go through the whole process again and add a route for 172.16.1.222

Is there a way to add a route when I'm connected to a 172.16.1.X address to route traffic to 192.168.1.X

this does not work: route add 192.168.1.0 172.16.1.0
