I've re-set my router, and i've just come to enter password and user name, but the router wont accept them any more. Does anyone know how I might find the default password, as I bought my router 2nd hand?

    Hi and welcome.

Just google 'default password DLINK router' or whatever your model is.

Many are admin with default password blank.

Make sure you reset with power on otherwise it won't work.. Hold it for 30 seconds or 60 seconds. Then do #2 post comment.

Supplying the make and exact model usually yields better results when you're asking about model specific issues.

Since it's pretty common for people to be asking about different stuff that appears in their specifications, I like to have an actual make/model confirmed. Saves us both time. ;)

There is a couple of websites out there that keep track of the Default passwords of just about every piece of equipment out there. I keep a text file of it just in case, I am fixing someones stuff. Just Google search for Default Password
