Hypothetically should all devices connected to a router which is connected to a larger network only appear as one single device on the larger network?

Depends on the setup of the router. If NAT is configured so a network is translated as a single or pool of outside addresses, then the outside "world" will see devices on this network as the single or pool of NAT addresses.

Hypothetical has nothing to do with it. You are trying to circumvent a university restriction and we do not help with that. If you did not understand that after I closed your first thread you certainly should have understood after our exchange of PMs. After you return from your three day ban consider yourself lucky that it was not permanent.
