I downloaded Roxio 5.0 to start burning cd's. After it finished downloading I tried to open it, and selected Realplayer to open it with. Now I cannot use it because it keeps coming up with this message.

MPEG by Bitcasting: File Format cannot find MPEG file header. This may not be an MPEG file.

I can't change the way it opens up now.

    Help!!!!!!!!!!

What are you trying to open? The install .exe? Where did you download it from?

Okay, lets say im trying to open something, then you are asked a question, what do you want to open this file with. The roxio software is not a realplayer file, so it cannot open it.

Hmm, what is the install files' file extension? It ought to be .exe. Perhaps you'd be better of getting the program legally, ;)

Or get Nero from www.Ahead.de , the demo is free.

I'm no translator but I think antdizm could be referring to a media file he downloaded through Kazaa which he might be wanting to or has burned using Roxio. Anyway, the file he might be trying to open via Realplayer might not be an associated file type. I don't use RealPlayer so am not sure of the file types it will open. Check the properties of the file you downloaded through Kazaa. Could be something like Quicktime.
If it is, I don't think RealPlayer supports it. Check the settings in Reaplayer under view/preferences/upgrade/media types/re-associate.
If this isn't the problem go with kramnnim's suggestion
