    You can set any batch file to run as a login script in gpedit.msc.

    What exactly are you trying to do? It makes little sense to try to run a batch file as a service. Services have special characteristics that make them more appropriate than just running a program the normal way, such as being able to restart in case of failure, run when no user is logged on, or run with alternate credentials, or run under specified conditions.

    Another method for running a batch file on boot is to include it in autoexec.bat and then enable the parsing of autoexec.bat on boot.

    hi
    First i will tell wht i have done.

    First I copied the following three files into this system path C:\WINDOWS\system32

    1. Autoexnt.exe
    2.Servmess.dll and
    Instexnt.exe

    And then i Created the Autoexnt.bat and copied the tomcat startup.bat fileinto this Autoexnt.bat file.
    Then the Autoexnt service is creating in the control panel services but after starting the service the tomcat home page is not opening.

    I also tried second method as like this.I created Autoexnt.bat as follows

    @echo off
    rem ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    rem Start script for the Tomcat Server
    rem ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

    call "C:\Program Files\SDE3.0\tomcat-5.5.16\bin\startup.bat" start

    Till to i am not getting. Its not working.

    Can u send me the steps for this.

    Thanks for u r response.
