I use Windows XP Pro SP2 and usually log in to my user-level account for security. I only log in to my admin-level account when I really need administrator privileges.

However, my QuickBooks accounting software will only run under an administrator account. Rather than login under the admin-level account every time I need to use QuickBooks, is there any way I can get the program to run as the administrative user, from within my user-level account?

    Thanks for any ideas,

That's a good security practice--I don't use the administrator account, either.

If you right-click the executable file for QuickBooks (the file that's listed in the properties of the shortcut) you'll get a menu option to "Run as..." Select that option, and you'll get something similar to a login screen that will let you enter the administrator password and start the program.
