    When I boot my computer, a "run time error" message appears.
    I have Windows 98 SE. I can click on OK and the message disappears. When I next start the computer, the message is there again. How can I get rid of this message?

    That's an error message being generated by something which is starting when windows starts.

    Download Startup Log from here:
    http://home.earthlink.net/~rmbox/Reticulated/Toys.html

    Run it and then please copy and paste the contents into a post here. This will help pinpoint what is generating the error.

    The actual run time error reads:
    "Microsoft Visual C++Run Time Library
    Program C++/warner.exe Abnormal Program Termination
    Microsoft Visual C++RU"

    This is a friend's computer. I believe he has not installed or uninstalled any new programs.
