My computer is only about a month old. When I log onto my computer the first thing that pops up on my screen is a Rundll Error Message. "Error Loading C:\windows\system32\{6ac477df-2c48-37c3-7248-f717d2e3c6883}.dll The specified module could not be found." Afew different things have been happening since this Error started popping up. First, I started getting pop-ups in Internet Explorer. A lot of pop-ups! For some reason my pop-up blocker isn't blocking them. Next, my computer seemed to be running really slow. Then, I ended up having to delete one of my user accounts and all of it's files because when I would log onto it the screen would just be my desktop. No taskbar, no icons. My computer came with Norton Internet Security installed on it, but it was apparently only a trial version so after the 30 days was up, I couldnin't find a product key for it so I just uninstalled it and that's about the time all of the problems started.

Hi, Welcome to TSG!!

  • Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
  • Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis .
  • Click on Install.
  • It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
  • Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
  • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
  • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
  • DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
