rundll32.exe problem in windows xp home

    HI All,
    My Lap top with Windows Xp Home as OS got a virus problem , i cleaned the virus but now am getting another problem. if i double click any application on the desk top getting an error saying "Windows Can' find 'C: My application path' Make sure you type the name correctly' .
    when i try to open same application from Program files it gives me message "Windows Can't find rundll32.exe'
    please help me how to get these back on track
