    Try this fix: EXEFIX

Unzip the fix and extract the .reg file to the desktop. Double-click it to merge it to the registry.

    Restart the computer.

If the fix only opens as a text file, right-click it and select Open With > Choose Program... Then, select the Registry Editor.

If the Registry Editor is not in the list, browse to C:\WINDOWS and select regedit.

If no luck with the above fix, try LNKFix and follow the same instructions.

And, if still no luck, if possible,

1- Please click HERE to download HijackThis.
    2- Run the program.
3- Click on the Main Menu button if not already there.
4- Select Do a system scan and save a logfile.
5- Copy and paste the scan log from Notepad into your next reply.
6- Do not "Fix" anything unless advised to do so.

I do believe the EXEFIX worked. So far so good, I will mark as solved when I'm 100 percent sure. Thanks! Heidi

    You're welcome!

However, I would still go ahead with HijackThis. Your computer is most likely infected. Needing an EXEFIX is often the result of a malware infestation.
