Hi everyone:

My DOS days are far behind me and I need a reminder. I have a file I need to run from DOS to determine the chipset of my video adapter. Once I get to the C prompt, do I just type the file name in and hit enter?

C:/>S3id.exe

(Assuming it is on the C: drive)

Thanks!

That will work, but all you have to type is the
name without the ".EXE" part. This assumes
that the file is in your path. If not, you must
change directory (cd\) to the appropriate
directory.

For example if the file is in c:\tools, type:

cd\tools

press ENTER

then type:

S3id

and press ENTER.

Cheers, Mac
