I have already done this and it didnt help

Go to Tools | Interenet Options. Advanced tab. Under Browsing look for Display Script Debugging. Tick that. Underneath it is Display a notification about every script error. Untick that. Apply and OK.

That's either a Visual Basic or C++ Error.
That means there's a problem in some program you are running and it's producing the error.
The first thing to do is have a look at what's running on your computer. Go to start>run and type msinfo32 Press enter
Look at the left pane. Click the + in front of Software Environment. Click Runing Tasks. Copy and paste that list into a post here. Maybe we can spot something.
Second. One by one, don't run one of those programsuntil you find the culprit. You can also accomplish a lot of this by going to MSCONFIG >Startup group and unchecking various programs. It's a process of elimination.

Is this only happeneing on the Internet?
Have a look to be sure you don't have any Spyware while you are examining the Computer.
    Download and run Adaware :

In my startup programs i only have 7 then clicked on ... someone had me take alot of them off.

It happens when i close everything out sometimes and im just looking at my window and then that box pops up with that error. I click okay and cant click anything else but can still move the mouse around.

Another thing when i went to close out that HELP page you told me to go to...it wouldnt close out and i had to ctrl alt delete i have to do that alot and on the internet if i dont open everything up in a diferent window it takes forever to load and i have a cable modem.

To be honest, that list is confusing. Try this instead.
Go here and download Startup Log.
Run it and then copy and paste the results in a post.
Although that is only a list of what runs at startup.
What Anti Virus do you have? Did you download and run Adaware?

This is all very odd. Whjat is trying to install at startup?
    You have this:
    Are you running Windows ME?

More details of your problems and system specs would be very helpful, please.

If you are having multiple problems it may all fit together. For instance, you said you cannot scandisk or drefrag? Why not? What happens when you try.

That's Ok. I know it is hard to know what to do to figure this all out. I use Win98SE and so my Operating System is different from yours.
How did you partition your Hard drive? Did you use a utility?

That error message has to do with the size of the clusters created on your drive by the partitioning.
If you hard drive is larger than 8 gigs and you have a cluster size less than 8 kb.

Thank you for your time that so far!

There is no smrtdrv.exe that I know of. It's smartdrv.exe. And the c:\windows\olefiles has no hits in the MS data base.

I don't know if Moosoft would identify this, but it might be worthwhile downloading the trial copy to see....

    http://www.moosoft.com/

Even if it can't....if I didn't know what installed those entries, I would be removing them.

You cannot resolve this by deleting. You have a problem with the way your partitions are set up.
I am re posting the link which explains the problem.
    http://support.microsoft.com/directory/article.asp?ID=KB;EN-US;q229154

I know nothoing about your system. Who and how it was set up. You need to get that infrmation and see if there's a workaroud for you.
Also, get a free virus scan online here. No Anti Virus is a bad thing.
    http://housecall.antivirus.com/pc_housecall/

I will add that you can get free Anti Virus.

I am not sure what is going on with your computer. It sounds like you have multiple problems. But you need to start by trying to isolate whether there is one in particular causing errors. That is something you have to do yourself using the process of elimination.
Looking for Spyware, viruses, bad programming and finally, you may also have a hardware problem. You do have a cluster size which is not allowing your Defrag and scandisk to run.

I'm sorry. I have to sign off. I have many things I need to do to get ready for the Holiday tomorrow.
I am sure someone else will come along. In the meantime, re read this long thread and try the various suggestions.

    Rog,
Great to see you. You were typing at the same time as I was.
I actually did see olefiles mentioned as I researched this. But it could be something else. A Trojan setup? That's an idea. I am wondering what's going on. I don't know much about ME. (in fact, I really know next to nothing) But is this kind of activity usual? DOS? Winstart.bat?

    http://www.google.com/search?q=olefiles

I do know we need to find out what's running in the background. So far no luck in getting that information.
