runtime error

:mad: :eek: i have a dell pc ......with winXP...........im getting a runtime error programs:c:\windows\explorer.exe ..................i cant get it off the screen.........it is killen me........how do i fix................i tried the sites that say they will fix for free but then tell you to buy their software...............is there another way please help.....

Do you notice these errors happening more often when you're doing something in particular?

...it turned out to be bad RAM. Try replacing your ram sticks. You can also get a program which will create a boot disk to test your ram at www.memtest86.com
Another possible answer:

Your Video card is heating up. The heat sync is getting to hot and might have already caused damage to the card. Try thermal goop between the chip and heat sync. Expanison slot or video card fan. Your card its gettin to hot thats the problem. I had to get a new card. With a fan
Perhaps to test out the 2nd answer, you could open up the PC case to lower the temperature. If the runtime errors stop / become much rarer, then something could be overheating.
