When starting some programs (16bit) I receive an error meassage (XP operating system):
C:\progra~1\symantec\s32envt1.dll installable device driver failed to initialize
If I click on ignore the program runs fine.
This is happening on multiple applications.
    Ideas ??

I am stabbing at this one but I believe this is what is happening.
The Symantic event drive is 32bit and is having difficulty with handling 16bit programs. If you can pass through the error I would lease and registry changes alone. Here is a Norton article that refers to symevent 16bit errors. Again if you can pass through the error I would accept as is. The article applies to Norton 2000 and 2001 Antivirus and I am assuming you are using 2002 which is XP compatable. I think the problem still would apply though. Hope my assuming does not make an ars out of u&me.:D

    Hope that helps.
