Im attempting to follow directions on how to remove a virus from Microsoft support... heres my problem... I cant boot up in safe mode :( When I hit f8 ..continually i eventually get an error message "windows could not start b/c the following file is missing or corrupt : <windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
I can then ofcourse hit enter and the system boots up in normal mode.
What is this file? or more specific can i get it back somehow?
