I've just bought a new laptop, running Vista Home Basic, and I've been having trouble connecting my printer. The laptop recognises the printer and installs the software on the cd successfully. Then the cd starts itself up and appears to be preparing to install all over again - but then it stalls, saying "Device is not connected or power is turned off". I can get past that by saying 'install anyway' but the printer won't print - it seems the laptop can see the printer but the printer software can't see the printer! Any suggestions? I haven't tried Samsung's diagnostic program because I'm not connected to the internet yet (this is a shared computer) so I can give that a go in a couple of days - any other ideas?

    Thanks,

    Fi

The drivers that come on the disk may or may not be Vista compatible. If they're not, you can get the right one off of Samsung's website.
