Sandisk 16GB "Please Insert a disk..." problem

I just bought a 32GB SanDisk micro Cruzer. It works fine on my Dell Dimension 8400 (WinXP Pro) desktop, and it loads the U3 Launchpad properly. However, when I try to use it on my Dell Vostro 1710 (WinXP Pro) laptop, all I get is a "Removable Disk (H:)" on Explorer. It does not load the U3 Launchpad.
If I click on the H: drive in Explorer all I get is the message "Please insert a disk into Drive H:."

Is there something that needs to be changed in the registry to make this work properly?
