sart up problems

    my pc has started to stop the boot up at windows logo screen and i see a quick flash of a blue screen of death then it restarts itself
    tried few things found on forums but no luck
    any more info just ask

    Can you tap F8 continuously after pressing power button and get to safe mode?

    will not goto safe mode or other options from f8
    dose the same quick flicker of blue screen then restart

    See if you can boot to XP cd and choose "R" for recovery console and at the prompt type in chkdsk /r and run checkdisk.(prompt for admin password can be clicked blank in the box if you did not make one.) If that runs but no difference then your last step is XP Repair:
