sata 250g harddrive

    I this is strange i have a 250g sata hdd i was looking in disk management i seen HDD drive E: is 250gb i know it is disk management says the same but disk management also show a extended partition of 97.66g which in total drive is 330.64g how can this be possible if drive is only 250g...

    i took a SS so you can see for your self..

    Well that is bizarre, check if there are any firmware updates for the drive, also download and install any management software from the drive manufacturer and see if it confirms what disk management 'sees'.

    Open the case and look at the drive. What does it say for mfg and model#

    or even the drive description from Device Manager (will often be the model number).
