    Hey all,

Recently got a new machine, has 4 6GB/s and 4 3GB/s Sata ports on it. My solid state 6GB/s drive flies, as to be expected. However, I have a 6GB/s and a 3GB/s HDD, connected to respective 6/3 ports, and see absolutely no change in read write speeds in the higher MB tests. I'll try to attach pictures..

The 1st picture is my SSD, 2nd is my 6GB/s drive connected with 6GB port and cable, then the 6GB drive connected with 3GB/s port and cable, and finally a 3GB/s drive with a 3GB/s cable and port.

Can someone tell me if this is something I have screwed up? AHCI is enabled in BIOS, everything looks ok, but I expected a much faster transfer rate with the 6GB/s drive and cable and port..

Any help to clear up the confusion is appreciated
